Through the application, the user can promote their job openings using social media, free job boards and other online resources. As they do this, their applicant pool will begin to grow and additional referrals will continue to increase traffic. After receiving enough qualified job applicants, the user can review their options and collaborate to find their new employee. The Resumator was founded in January of 2009 by Don Charlton. The company is based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The current Resumator team includes CEO Charlton, Customer Success Manager David Link and Web Engineer Chris Armstrong. The company has received seed and Angel funding as well as financial backing by Innovation Works in December of 2009.
The Resumator gives users an easier way to manage many job listings on numerous popular career websites. The user can create an account and add all of their job openings. They can then manage each opening through the Resumator, regardless of how many other websites it is posted on through the application. This streamlines the candidate hunting process and allows the user to spend less time managing their job listings and more time checking out new potential candidates.

A new user can create an account by clicking the red button prominently displayed along the right hand side of the homepage. Doing so takes the user to the subscription page where they are asked to choose their membership type. After clicking the corresponding red button, the user is asked to provide a company name, their desired Resumator URL, first and last name, email address, password, phone number, credit card number, expiration date and billing zip code.
The Resumator offers users four memberships to choose from. The first is a Basic plan that allows up to three open jobs at a time. This plan costs around $50 per month and includes unlimited users, unlimited resumes, and additional fees for extra open jobs, team based permissions, custom design and domain and reporting tools. The Surge plan costs around $100 per month and upgrades to up to five open jobs, team based permissions, custom design and a custom domain name. The Grow plan costs around $200 per month and includes up to 10 open job postings as well as reports and analytics. The Pro plan costs around $400 per month and includes up to 30 job openings, training sessions and a dedicated account manager.
